Accounts & Saved Graphs

Fewer works fully without an account. Signing in is optional and unlocks saving your directories to your account, accessing them from any device, and sharing them with more control.

Sign In

Click the Sign in button in the top navbar to open the auth dialog. You can:

• Create an account with an email and password (typed twice to confirm)
• Sign in to an existing account with your email or username and password
• Sign in with Google or GitHub using one tap
• Sign in with a link — enter your email and we send a one-tap sign-in link, no password needed
• Reset your password via email — the link opens a page where you set a new password

If you try to sign up with an email that already has an account, you're told and pointed to the sign-in form.

Signing up with Google or GitHub fills your profile's first and last name from the provider's display name. You can change them anytime in Settings → Account.

After signing in, the navbar shows your avatar and name. Click to open the account menu with Account settings (opens the Profile card), Your saved graphs (reveals and expands the Your Directories section in the sidebar), and Sign out.

Your avatar is the profile picture from Google or GitHub when you signed up with one; accounts created with an email address show your initials instead. Fewer doesn't host user images, so there's no avatar upload — the name fields in Settings → Account are the parts of your profile you can edit here.

Change Your Email

In Settings → Account, use the Email card to enter a new address and click Change. A confirmation link is emailed to the new address; your email (and login) only changes after you confirm it. The old address keeps working until then.

Delete Your Account

In Settings → Account, the Delete account action schedules your account for permanent deletion in 7 days. Your saved graphs, watch lists, cloud connections, and any shared graphs you own are removed when the window lapses. Signing in again before then cancels the deletion — no separate restore step needed.

Save a Graph

1. Sign in
2. Click Save Current Graph in the Your Directories sidebar section
3. Name the graph and click Save

Saving is always user-initiated. Fewer never auto-uploads your graph.

What Gets Saved

A saved graph captures the graph itself:

• Cards, connections, and their positions

Your app settings (layout direction, connection style, theme, node dimensions, minimap, display filters) are not part of the graph — they follow you as account settings, so loading a graph never overwrites your current settings.

Load, Rename, Delete

The Your Directories section lists your saved graphs. Each row lets you:

• Load the graph: click the graph name
• Rename: click the pencil icon, type a new name, press Enter
• Share: click the link icon (see Sharing)
• Delete: click the trash icon

Version History

Every saved graph keeps automatic snapshots — save it again and the previous state is retained, so a bad edit never means losing the good version.

Saved graphs can be shared as:
